About
Who I am
I'm a Mechatronics Engineering student at Waterloo, building systems at the intersection of mechanical design, electronics, and software.
My work spans competitive robotics, autonomous systems, EV drivetrains, and AI tooling. Anywhere I can engineer something real and make it work.
I thrive in iterative, hands-on environments where I can design, test, and improve.

Projects
Things I've built
Autonomous mechatronic system that shuffles, dispenses, and sorts playing cards. C++ control logic coordinating electromagnetic solenoids and DC motor stages across multiple subsystems, with a custom-tuned PID controller for high-precision card indexing. Separates low-level registers and hardware control loops from high-level sorting game logic.
FEED: LIVE_DISPENSER
Vice President and builder. Coordinated mechanical chassis assembly and custom CAD fabrication of rapid-prototyped mounting brackets. Wrote C++ motor control logic to optimize wheel speed and torque. Achieved 1st place out of 30+ teams at the McMaster SUMO Bot tournament.
1st Place — McMaster Sumo Bot
Verified telemetry credentials:
FEED: SUMO_TEST_RUN
Designed and constructed an active radar mapping system. Coupled an SG90 servo motor with an HC-SR04 ultrasonic rangefinder, sweeping across a 180° field of view to measure obstacle distance via return pulse timings. Programmed control buttons and serial communications to format coordinates for real-time spatial logs.
FEED: RADAR_SWEEP_ACTIVE
A hardware recreation of the Chrome Dino running game built on an Arduino Uno. Programmed custom binary bitmasks to render custom characters (dinosaur, cactus obstacles) on a memory-constrained 16x2 character LCD display. Wired an external potentiometer for contrast control and debounced tactile buttons for input jump coordinates.
FEED: DINO_RUN_LIVE
An interactive console recreation of the classic Snake game utilizing an 8x8 LED matrix display and a 2-axis analog joystick. Coded custom display driving algorithms on an Arduino Uno, converting analog voltage signals to 2D directional vectors and managing snake tail expansion through a dynamic coordinate array.
FEED: SNAKE_MATRIX_ACTIVE
Just In Time Active Intervention System Design Under Construction
Designed a JITAI architecture using biometric, GPS, and calendar data. Mapped Azure AI services to client needs for real-time processing and decision logic, and authored design documentation and technical blueprints for the client's AI implementation strategy.
Designed and developed a responsive personal portfolio using vanilla HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Implemented hardware-accelerated SVG welcome animations, smooth hybrid inertial scrolls (Lenis), a canvas particle system, and an interactive NLP console interface (Alfred) simulating a secure terminal feed.
